BioGate Tower is a professional fingerprint identification unit for physical access control and time management systems. It was developed in 1999/2000 for the BioTrusT research project. BioTrusT was an interdisciplinary pilot project for the evaluation of biometric technology in banking and finance.

It is based on Windows NT�® and uses Atmel sensor (FingerChip), Philips mifare�® (contact-less smart card technology) and different components of BERGDATA�´s 'Biometric Framework'.

The system is highly customizable and can also be used in stand alone and/or network environment.
